•  Feature :The Williams Explorer is a flexible dental diagnostic tool widely used by both dentists and hygienists. It has a dual purpose: the Williams end is for examining the periodontium, while the Probe end is for identifying cavities. The Probe is marked with 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10 mm, allowing for precise pocket depth measurements, periodontal assessment, and detection of periodontal disease. The sharp probe is effective for detecting cavities, revealing tooth surface defects and tartar deposits, and inspecting restorations for defects or ridges. It also helps detect plaque and tartar for effective scaling. Williams probes have markings at intervals of up to 10 mm. The Williams probe lacks markings at 4 and 6 mm. These missing millimeter intervals help determine depth in the smallest situations. The ideal gingival pocket depth is between 3 and 4 mm. The Williams probe lacks the 4 mm and 6 mm difference necessary for accurate perception. When the periodontal probe is inserted into the gingival sulcus, these unmarked areas help identify abnormal pocket depths. Also, it is easy to clean and can be reused in clinical settings.
