Cooley Coarctation Clamp – 8 3/4″ 5.5 cm long straight jaws, 8-3/4″ (22.0 cm) is well suited for use in cardiothoracic surgical procedures that necessitate total or partial occlusion of a vessel. This is often done in cardiothoracic surgical procedures to prevent the patients from losing an excessive amount of blood during surgery. This instrument features straight jaws and shanks which are designed to provide a firm and stable grip once they have been affixed to the site where the clamping is needed. To increase the versatility of this instrument it is available with either straight or angled shanks.
