Three delicate blades are included with our Cosgrove mitral valve retractor to help retract the delicate valves. after a mid-sternotomy, stabilizes and retracts the thorax to provide for easier surgical access to internal organs. includes unique blades for retracting the delicate heart tissue at the proper phase and adding at the appropriate addition. contains wide sternum blades specifically on each side to apply the most stress to the sternum. Specially delicate fenestrations on the remaining blades are designed to softly retract the valvular tissue. To avoid damaging delicate tissue, the retracting forceps feature smooth edges on the outside. Additionally, the instrument is lightweight and features an ergonomic shape for easy handling. To reduce operator fatigue, it also includes a screw lock for each blade. The Cosgrove Mitral Valve Retractor has blades that are the perfect size for retracting both the sternum and heart tissue.
