This one-of-a-kind instrument is used to atraumatically insert endothelial tissue. It has an open design with a platform for tissue placement (endothelial side up) and a funnel-shaped tapered tip that allows the surgeon to gently slide the tissue into position for the “pull-through” technique. After the tissue has been properly seated, the instrument is inverted (endothelial side down) and the tip is placed at the edge of the primary incision. To grasp and pull the tissue into the anterior chamber, a special forceps is inserted through an opposing paracentesis incision.
